All of Sylvia's projects begin with a clear three-dimensional plan of the spaces derived from the client's needs, as well as the nature and potential of the site. On this foundation are placed careful choices of materials, texture, and lighting to create depth and personality.

Within her work, Sylvia often creates juxtapositions of the modern and primitive, urban and natural, or utilitarian and lux.
